Labor only moving is when a company Like Mr. BigStuff Labor & Moving provides only the labor plus some basic tools and equipment to either load, unload, or sometimes load and unload a moving truck, trailer, or container. This provides the Shipper (you) more control over their expenses which typically results in considerable savings and the same, or better, quality of work.

Besides the specialty licenses and insurances, a Full Service Mover will provide for everything, start to finish, for a move, including the truck, moving pads, wrap and bands, tools and dollies, etc. With a Mr. Bigstuff, we provide the same highly trained and qualified labor, with some basic tools and equipment, to get the job done...and done right. You just don't have the excessive high prices and hidden fees to deal with.

Yes. But not in the same way that a Full Service mover is. A full service mover has a special licensing that is required by the Federal and state government. Plus they have to have specialty insurance. As a labor-only moving helper we're not required to have those same licenses and insurances. We do carry business license and we also have the same basic insurance coverage...and depending on the package you get our basic insurance is much better than theirs.

Simple. Just contact us about the lost or damaged item or items. We'll ask a few questions about the piece and we may ask for some pictures (especially if the item is broken.) If the lost item is highly valuable then we may demand that the police get involved for your and our protection. Once everything has been satisfied then we'll replace or fix your items.

We charge by the hour and there are no extra or hidden fees. Ever! The job takes as long as it takes. Unlike Full Service Moving Companies that will charge for stairs, elevators, bulky items, long walks, and so much more. We do have specialty fees for some pianos and gun safes but those will be fully discussed prior to booking the job.

Yes. With few exceptions most of our jobs require a minimum of 2 hours. Larger jobs may require 3 to 4 hour minimum. Our small jobs like assembly, junk removal, and small furniture deliveries are typically a flat rate.

We take Cash, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or Paypal. Sorry, we cannot accept checks or credit cards at this time.

Yes. We do do packing. We also sell boxes and other moving supplies. How we charge for packing is our hourly cost plus the cost of the materials used.

Yes we do. We can coordinate the entire move for you, and as a neighborhood U-Haul dealer, I am able to facilitate extremely great deals on moving rental trucks for one-way rents. What we'll do is bundle up all our services and give you one low, affordable flat rate that could save you $100s, maybe even $1000s of dollars. While this won't be a traditional Full Service move in essence it will be...just cheaper!

Beside our core load, unload, or both load and unload moving labor help, we also provide: Senior moving help, college student moving help, furniture assembly, furniture delivery, junk removal like couch removal, tv removal, bed removal, appliance removal (sorry, no trash or yard waste.) We can also help with simple TV mounting and small handyman jobs. Anything else just ask.
