How much does furniture assembly cost?

The cost depends on the number of items you have and the complexity. Here at Mr. BigStuff Labor & Moving we charge $100 for the first hour then $75/hr for every additional hour after that for a 1 man job. For a two man job we charge $150 for the first hour, then $100/hr for every additional hour.

How long will the assembly take?

This depends on the piece being assembled. Most pieces can be assembled in an hour or two. However, the bigger or more complex the job it can take longer. It also depends on the number of pieces that need to be assembled. Pieces with many drawers can take 3 to four hours sometimes.

Is Mr. BigStuff Labor and Moving licensed and insured?

Yes. We have typical business and liability insurance in case of damage or injury.

What is included in the assembly service?

We bring all the tools that would be required for the job. We have drills, screwdrivers, hammers and rubber mallets, etc. We cannot connect or disconnect any gas, water, or electric lines. Your furniture or TV mounts must have all the hardware like screws as we don't supply those.

Do you have a minimum time limit?

No. We charge by the hour and we take as long as needs to take to assembled the item correctly and safely.

How do accept payment?

We take Cash, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or Paypal. Sorry, we cannot accept checks or credit cards at this time.

Are your technicians experienced?

Yes. A large part of our jobs as movers is dissembling and re-assembling furniture.

Can you assemble furniture from specific retailers or brands?

Yes. We can almost every brand of furniture. However, there are some pieces that we will not assemble. We do not assemble bunk beds or cribs due to liability. Nor do we assemble anything that electronic other than your standard wall plug in.

What do I need to provide for the assembly?

Typically all you need to provide is space for us to work in that is sufficient for the item being assembled. The area should be pet and child free as we are working with tools that can harm them. You'll also need to provide a space for removal of trash and boxes.

Do you offer same-day or expedited service?

Yes. Depending on our schedule we can. This will cost more.

Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on your assembly work?

No. Of course our mission is to provide the best possible experience that we can, but we do not offer any guarantee on the assembled pieces. Please check with your manufacture or provider for any warranties or guarantees.
